The Adventures of Moving

June 8th, 2009 No comments

The past few weeks have been very busy. For the past two weekends, I have been in the process of moving from my house in Queen Anne to my folk’s house. It’s kind of a weird experience. This past year, I lived with five amazing guys and had a blast being able to experience life with some pretty awesome friends. Now, I am living in my folk’s basement. While I love being home with my parents and sister, it is definitely a huge change from my old environment with the boys.

Moving has always been difficult for me. My ADD tendencies go crazy and everything seems more difficult. Thankfully there wasn’t a huge time crunch for this move and by and large, it has gone smoothly. I am excited to share this summer with my family. For the first time in over two years, the whole family is together under one roof for the summer.

Anyways, time to get back to work. Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon!

The Mind of Maher: Get Ready…

June 7th, 2009 No comments

Greetings friends! First off, I would like to say “thank you” for stopping by this site for my official return to blogging. It has been about two years since I last “blogged”. My experiences in Slovakia proved to be an exciting daily series of events that I could spend time writing about but when I returned home, “real life” started to kick in and “blogging” took a major back seat.

So much has happened in the last two years. Some highlights would be graduating college, being blessed with an amazing job as a computer technician, and being engaged to the love of my life, Heather.

I hope that you will be able to experience a little bit of life with me on these virtual pages of my thoughts, dreams, fears, joys, and jokes that can be shared between us. As every Naval ship must be Christened, may this first of many blog posts be the Christening of “The Mind of Maher’.

Have a wonderful day, my friends! I look forward to writing soon.
